Declaration of Principles
The Revolution is inevitable
Prologue
The unsustainable economic, political and social system that rules in Honduras
The historic crisis that the Honduran people suffer was aggravated beginning with the Coup d'Etat of 2009, a moment in which the oligarchy unleashed a brutal violence against the people who leapt into the streets to defend their democratic rights and to demand the restoration of the Constitutional President.
The repression against the resistance exercised by the people was deadly; continuous and criminal violations of human rights, states of emergency, dismantling of the communication media and hundreds of assassinations without justice to this date. President Manuel Zelaya himself resisted armed assault, kidnapping and removal from the country, as well as an infinity of tortures in the asylum of the Embassy of Brazil.
This example of dignity and the indomitable spirit of liberty and justice of the great majority, headed by the example of valor of President Zelaya caused a consciousness of the marginalized classes to grow that made them value their right to insurrection, and in a peaceful fashion they demonstrated that reason can be more than arms.
The convocation to defiance of the people in the face of the imposition of despots was organized from the popular movement that decidedly confronted repression and, making use of the accumulation of strengths after various decades of construction of power from the base, forming the National Front against the Coup d'Etat, today the Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular.
It is thus, that today the anti-democratic forces that imposed the neoliberal model and impede the development of Honduran society should recognize the failure of the coup d'Etat and of the capitalist system, voracious and incapable of giving a response to the just demands of the people.

Coups d'Etat Never Again!
This call for structural transformations that the Honduran people together with their Latin American brothers make, is made in the framework of the continual crisis of the capitalist system at a global level, and the definitive exhaustion of the neoliberal model and the would-be consensus of Washington.
Nevertheless, it is evident that the political victories that the democratic and revolutionary forces have achieved in the region of Central America and Latin America infuriate the most reactionary groups at a global level, that every day increase the attacks to prevent the people to organize themselves and assume their historic role, at the same time that they attempt to destabilize popular governments through economic blockages, warlike threats, and militarization of the societies, promoting and delivering coups d'Etat.
It is precisely in this context of looting and exploitation of the neoliberal stage that President Zelaya decided to make changes in state policies in favor of national development and the working class, at the same time to expand relations with the socialist countries of South America and the Caribbean with new forms of solidarity and commercial exchange (ALBA, Petrocaribe), that would combat the already exhausted prescriptions of the international financial organizations (the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, among others).
The Coup d'Etat in Honduras is the outcome of a conspiracy that was forged within this conflict, in which were risked geopolitical interests that directly affected the conditions of life of the people.
The economic system of neoliberal capitalism that the oligarchs intended to preserve by force, is what has brought about the present global social and economic crisis, augmenting the polarization of wealth and the concentration of political power in tyrannical elites, that results in the ruin of the national productive infrastructure and the destruction of the environment, among other ominous effects and consequences.
The social and economic impact of the coup has been enormous. (It is estimated at more than 10,000 million dollars, comparable to the national budget of five years.) In this moment we can speak of a State in bankruptcy, whose indebtedness compromises the destiny of many generations. United to the preceding, the people suffer cruel violations of Human Rights, and social victories of the popular sector, among them workers, teachers, campesinos and indigenous people, are maimed.
It is because of this that Libertad y Refundación (Libre), whose base in resistance constitutes the vanguard of this heroic deed, organizes a inevitable, peaceful revolution, inspired by the example of our heroes and martyrs.
In the framework of this transformational vision of the country, Libertad y Refundación (Libre) proposes to the Honduran people the following Declaration of Principles.
